This elegant fossil and stone diptych features a beautiful flow of fossil fish: four Diplomystus dentatus, a Phareodis testis, and four Knightia eocaena. The soft, warm colors of this natural limestone provide perfect contrast for the rich bronze hues of the fossils. These 50 million year old fossil fish are from the Early Eocene Era and are exquisitely preserved in a textured matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone. The stone was discovered in our quarry in southwestern Wyoming.

The two panels in this diptych are finished with a finished beveled edge and are backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This diptych ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
