This large Gallery-sized fossil mural contains a variety of fossil fish which include three Diplomystus dentatus, two Knightia eocaena, a Cockerellites liops, and a Phareodus testis. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, approximately 50 million years old. The fossils were unearthed from the Green River Formation in Southwestern Wyoming. The limestone matrix surrounding the fossils features a color palette of rich natural beige and gray colors with bold textures.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat system. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, is fully insured against loss or damage, and is ready for immediate installation.
