This fossil fish mural provides a most unique look. The stone is our "Steel Blue Lake" stone layer, a rare dark limestone found at the bottom of the famous 18" layer in the Green River Formation. The color of the stone is dark, and the shape is narrow when compared to other fossil murals. The fossils include an 11-1/2" Phareodus testis, a sharp-toothed predator in the lake, a 6" Mioplosus labracoides, a 7-1/2" Diplomystus dentatus, and two Knightia eocaena. The mural is supplied framed in a hand-made Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a two-part French cleat on the back.
This mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
