Nine Eocene Era fossil fish from the Green River Formation are featured in this sculptural fossil stone mural: three Diplomystus dentatus, one Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara), and five Knightia eocaena. These fossil fish are about 50 million years old and are forever preserved in a textured matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone. Richly contrasting gray and beige tones serve to heighten the drama.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
