This mural was quarried from a dark limestone layer we call "Mosaic Lake II". The stone is known for its exceptional fossil preservation, its range of tans and gray colors, and its bold textures. The fossils include a large Diplomystus dentatus (center), a Priscacara serrata (left center), and five Knightia eocaena, with another partially exposed below the tail of the Diplomystus. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, 50 million years old. The mural is supplied framed in a handmade Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a two-part French cleat added for easy hanging.

This mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
