Description: This impressively scaled mural was quarried from the “Priscy” stone layer in our southwestern Wyoming located fossil quarry. This mural contains six Diplomystus dentatus ranging from 5" to 19", four Priscacara serrata in sizes from 4-1/4" to 5-1/2", and eleven Knightia eocaena in sizes between 4-1/2" and 6". The fossil preservation is exceptional. Warm beige colors and sculptural texture add rich dimensionality throughout the mural.

This irregularly shaped, impressively scaled fossil mural presents a dynamic array of beautifully preserved, 50 million year old fossil fish. The fossils include six Diplomystus dentatus, four Cockerellites liops, and eleven Knightia eocaena. The warm beige color of the natural fossil limestone is a perfect backdrop for the deep, natural color of the fossils. The rich texture creates visual interest throughout the piece. This exquisite example of natural history comes from our private stone quarry located in Southwestern Wyoming, part of the Green River Formation.
The mural is finished with beveled edges and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
