This unique fossil fish mural featuring a Mioplosus labracoides, a Diplomystus dentatus, three Cockerellites liops, and two Knightia eocaena dates back to the Early Eocene. The softly hued limestone matrix provides a warm, understated backdrop, allowing the deep coloration and fine detail of each fossil to stand out. All specimens originate from a stone layer we refer to as "Fossil Lake Classic". This layer is part of the renowned 18-inch layer, celebrated for producing some of the highest-quality fossils ever found.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood, with a two-part French cleat. The mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
