This horizontal Collector-sized fossil fish mural was quarried from our "Fossil Lake Classic" stone layer. It offers bold textures, and beige colors with unique bands of a rust color, caused by iron oxides in the stone. The fossils include 5 species of Eocene fishes, a large 13" Mioplosus labracoides, an 8" Priscacara serrata, a 5-1/2" Cockerellites liops,  a 5-1/2" and 4" Diplomystus dentatus, and 2- Knightia eocaena measuring 5-1/4" and 7". The mural is supplied framed in a handmade Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a two-part French cleat for easy hanging. The age of the fossils is 50 million years old, Early Eocene.
