This sculptural stone mural features fossil fish from the Green River Formation: two Diplomystus dentatus, a Priscacara serrata, and two Knightia eocaena. There is an additional "artifact" of an another, unprepared fossil fish which is partially exposed. These fish are Eocene era fossils dating back about 50 million years. These ancient fish are forever preserved in a textured matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
