Description: This fossil mural was quarried from our "Fossil Lake" stone layer. It contains a rare 39-1/2" Palm Palmacites sp, 3- Cockerellites liops in sizes from 4-1/2" to 5-1/2", 2- Knightia eocaena measuring 6" and 7". This natural composition of a palm and fossil fish is exceptional in fossil preservation and detail.

This 57" x 43" natural composition of a rare fossil palm Palmacites sp, with five fossil fish, three Cockerellies liops, and two Knightia eocaena, was a great find from the 2022 quarry season. The palm shows remarkable detail including insect damage that occurred while the plant was still alive 50 million years ago. The stone's color, texture, and composition are exceptional. The mural is supplied framed in a hand-made Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a two-part French cleat.
The mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
