This impressively scaled triptych features a spectacular fossilized palm frond amid an array of fossil fish. The palm frond and fish are all preserved with incredible detail in a natural, sculptural limestone matrix. Due to the delicate nature of plants, fine and large examples of plant life, such as this gorgeous palm frond, are exceptionally rare.

This triptych is a perfect backdrop for a Mioplosus labracoides, a Diplomystus dentatus, a Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara), and six Knightia eocaena. These fish are all Early Eocene era fossils dating back about 50 million years. This flow of ancient fish is forever preserved in a sculptural matrix of fossil-bearing limestone; the exquisite texture and subtle color of the stone offer an elegant contrast to the natural specimens. This stunning piece of natural history was quarried from our private fossil quarry in the Green River Formation.

The triptych is finished with beveled edges and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
