This elegant fossil mural presents a fossilized palm frond within a richly textured and boldly colored stone matrix. This 50 million-year-old fossil palm frond dates to the Early Eocene and is exquisitely preserved in a sculptural bed of natural, fossil-bearing limestone. The soft beige and rich brown tones of this natural limestone provide a perfect contrast to the rich dark hues of the fossil. This important palm specimen was discovered in our quarry in southwestern Wyoming.

The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
